Major Requirement Worksheets by Academic Year

Major Requirement Worksheets: These major requirement worksheets are designed to allow a student in Environmental Studies to check their progress towards graduation. They contain all major requirements for the ES and Hydrologic Sciences majors. Be sure to download and use the major requirement sheet for the year you officially declared the major as requirements can change from year to year. Student who wish to check their General Education and/or University requirements should visit the College of Letters and Science Advising website.

The Four Year Plan Worksheets: These worksheets are designed to assist ES or Hydro majors with course scheduling and allow for orderly progression through all graduation requirements (including GE and University requirements) within a four year period. This is not the only acceptable approach, but an example of one that works.

Create Your Own Environmental Emphasis Worksheet: Because of the interdisciplinary design of the Environmental Studies majors (B.A. and B.S.) students are afforded the opportunity to select/customize their upper-division elective and outside concentration courses to create a distinct “environmental concentration.” A student may choose to take a wide selection of courses covering a breadth of disciplines or pursue a specific emphasis or track. Students who are trying to decide what to take for these sections may want to review the "How to Use the ES Major To Create Your Own Environmental Emphasis" worksheet. This information sheet demonstrates how one may utilize the upper-division to create to create a specific environmental concentration. By no means are these the only possible tracks, but does offer some example emphases that have traditionally been popular with ES students. You may download the worksheet (.pdf) by clicking here.
