The purpose of this booklist is to gather the great works of environmental studies into one list and separate books into helpful and relevant categories. Hopefully this list will act as a starting point for investigations by people who are curious about an environmental issue, looking for information for a project, trying to find books to include on a course reading list, or just want a recommendation of what to read in their spare time.

Students and professors of Environmental Studies at UCSB have compiled this list, partially in preparation for the Santa Barbara Summit on Environmental Studies.
