the first day of the summit. |
A special two hour afternoon boat cruise/marine life
watching tour is available on Thursday, Feb. 23rd, from
3:30 pm to ~5:30 pm. This special opportunity
will allow you to get out and explore our beautiful coastline and
local marine wildlife during your visit to UCSB/Santa Barbara.
We will cruise on the 75 foot power catamaran,
CONDOR Express,
Santa Barbara's #1 whale watching and party cruise vessel. We will
motor up the coast to the UCSB campus while the sun sets over the
Santa Barbara Channel. During this time of year we stand a good
chance of sighting CA Gray whales as they migrate along  the
coast as well as year round marine mammal residents including: Bottlenose
and Common Dolphins, CA Sea Lions and Harbor Seals, and CA Sea Otters.
The special (reduced) cost is $25 per person.
Payment for this cruise will be collected the day of the trip (cash
or check only - checks made out to William Freudenburg).
Additional information about the cruise will be emailed to all who
sign up by February 17th, 2006. Questions about the cruise can be
