Giving to the ES Program

Approximately 325 students are currently declared as Environmental Studies majors at UCSB. The graduating class of 2007 consisted of 105 students, pushing the total number of ES alumni to just over 4,300.

The Environmental Studies Program includes 12 full-time faculty members (including two distinguished endowed chair positions), a number of affiliated faculty from other departments who teach for the ES Program, and approximately 10 career professionals who serve as ES instructors teaching courses on environmental topics within their field of expertise.

There are a total of five ES staff members including an Academic and Internship Coordinator, Program Manager, Finance Administrator, and two support staff. Two part-time student peer advisors are also available 15 to 20 hours per week to assist majors with a wide variety of academic issues and needs.

The ES Program is proud to be affiliated with The Environmental Studies Associates (ESA), a UCSB Community Support group made up of community members, alumni, and faculty, who are committed to maintaining the quality of the ES program, enhancing its visibility, and supporting its students.
