If you are interested in contrary views, politcally speaking, see for example Jonathan Adler's National Review article, “Kennedy’s Crimes Against Fact,” http://www.nationalreview.com/adler/adler200312030840.asp. For a differing historical account that gives more credit to Irving Kristol and William Simon, written for the Wall Street Journal [by James Piereson, long-time Executive Director of the John M. Olin Foundation], see http://online.wsj.com/article_email/SB109037632023969457-IZjf4Nklal3oJyvbHyHaq2Am4.html)
